KOTA KINABALU, April 15 (Bernama) — Christina Saraja, 82, is happy because her rickety house which was some 60 years old was repaired and refurbished.

“I am touched by the concern of the government to repair my old house. I cannot say anything else but to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the
assistance,” the widow said.

“The government is very concerned for people like me,” said Christina of Kampung Putatan in Penampang.

The mother of two is among the 34 families that received help through the Housing Repair Programme For the Poor sponsored by Philip Morris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Yayasan Salam Malaysia, and Penampang BN leaders.
